Dear ADENA Partners, we are proud to share with you the news that AREC Media Capture Solution was used to record the APEC Informal Leaders’ Retreat. Held in New Zealand on the 16th of July, the meeting was dedicated to overcoming COVID-19 crisis and discussed its health and economic impact.
APEC is a regional economic forum that was established to foster the growing relationship between Asian and Pacific countries. Normally, this is facilitated by personal meetings of the member states’ leaders, but with COVID-19 difficulties, the organisation hosted the meeting virtually. While the event itself was held through Microsoft Teams, APEC needed a solution capable of recording it in the highest quality and to a standard befitting of such organisation. Out of a number of options, it was AREC’s LS-300 Media Station that fulfilled all of the requirements and was used to great success.
LS-300 can mix, switch, record, and stream multiple video and audio sources in Full HD quality at the same time, including video conference hardware and software. During the APEC meeting, the station mixed the Microsoft Teams’ audio and video with local cameras, sound system and custom graphics. It created a Full HD mixed recording of these sources and also recorded them independently for protocoling and post-editing. Moreover, AREC’s inbuilt Graphical User Interface made it easy for the operators to control the recording process - all of the key Media Station’s features were accessible through a connected monitor.
Functionality and ease of use of the AREC system made it an obvious choice for APEC, allowing them to continue their work regardless of COVID-imposed difficulties.
